For the 2nd year in a row Anderson High School held a grinch tree competition to raise money for the angel tree, a holiday charity where donors can pick a tag off from a christmas tree, each tag represents a child in need, the donor can then buy the child clothes, toys, or any wishes the child specifies. The competition consisted of students paying $0.25 for 1 ornament or students could pay $1 for a “grinch” which took 1 ornament off a teacher’s ornament count at the end. At the end of the competition for the 2nd year in a row students put more ornaments on Mr.Shoes tree than any other teachers, at the end his tree had almost 2,000 ornaments.
