Anderson’s Holiday break is quickly approaching, with Christmas following soon after. Causing students and parents alike to search for fun activities to fill their time away from school.
Fortunately, Many of the downriver cities offer activities for friends and family over the holidays.
The Wayne County Light-fest will be reopening again this year at the Hines Park of West-land as a drive-thru light show until December 24th. Also in Wayne county, Holiday Nights In Greenfield village will be available for select dates in December, a special seasonal event with carousel rides, ice skating, and model-T rides. Moving into Detroit, Campus Martius has a 62 feet tall Christmas tree in the middle for the 22nd year in a row. Surrounding the tree is an ice rink open to the public for ice skating with skate rental available. Near the tree is the Cadillac lodge, an area set aside for vendors selling food, treats, clothes, and many other things.
Overall downriver and the surrounding areas have many fun holiday activities to do over our break!
